EU sanctions: Deactivation of UIFN country access for Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan

Due to EU sanctions, UIFN country access for Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan will be deactivated as of February 1, 2026. Read more about the impact on your UIFN numbers.

Due to current EU sanctions, European telecommunications providers will no longer be permitted to conduct transactions with Russian telecommunications providers as of February 1, 2026. In this context, Telequest has been informed by its international UIFN partner that certain UIFN country access routes must be deactivated as of this date.

Which countries are affected?


The deactivation only affects UIFN access routes in the following countries:

  • Russia
  • Kazakhstan
  • Kyrgyzstan

Customers using the affected country access routes will be contacted directly by telequest.
 

Impact on customers
 

  • The affected country access routes will no longer be reachable as of February 1, 2026.
  • Any applicable monthly fees for these country access routes will be discontinued as of this date.
  • All other, non-affected UIFN country access routes will remain unchanged.
